Access control is particularly important in Rotary Clubs, where roles and responsibilities change from one year to the next.
Because StreamDesk is an online business management platform all access is through the Internet. There are three classes of user.
- Administrators, who have access to all the system configuration tools, can create new users and can assign access rights to users. An administrator has access to all parts of the system.
- Users, who can access various parts of business tools, contacts, messaging services, emails, calendars, newsletters, event management, website updating, inventory, product database and so on. Users are usually employees, but can be outsourced contractors as well. Users can also personalise their own desk console.
- Login access (who may be members, clients, suppliers, subscribers or any other contact type) who have access to data and services, but can neither see nor use the system console.
Administrators and users can be employees or members of an organisation’s secretariat, whether paid or volunteer.
